University recognition suspended for Zeta Beta Tau

June 27, 2013

Effective May 18, 2013, the Zeta Beta Tau International Fraternity Headquarters closed the Kappa Chapter located at Cornell. As a result, the alumni house corporation has closed the facility located at 1 Edgecliff Place, and Cornell University recognition has been suspended. In accordance with the recognition policy, no chapter may take advantage of the benefits of recognition — including the recruitment of new members — without university recognition. However, the chapter will re-organize and plans to resume operations in the 2014-2015 academic year with new members.
